A couple of years ago, I bought a mind map of Offline Business from Maria Gudellis. Wonderful stuff. One of the hints was to print out the map on A2 size (23.4 x 16.5 in) or even A1 size (which is double), laminate it and unroll it in front of your customer at the best possible time.
Each time, I did this, the prospect literally ‘drooled’ and tried to tear it out of my hands. Yup they signed up quick.
One customer said he wanted time to consider it but to leave the Mindmap on the desk. I told him that this research was considerable and that he could buy it for £500 ($750) (Don’t EVER, EVER, leave the map without either a signed contract and first payment or ‘cash for the map’.
